Rev. Rob Kinslow
A lifelong magician as well as minister, Rev. Rob has combined magic and ministry while leading worship in many Unitarian Universalist congregations. On any given Sunday, in addition to seeing a handkerchief vanish or steel rings magically link and unlink, you may also hear him sing or play guitar, for the music bug bit early on as well.
Rob’s connection with First Parish Church in Taunton is strong and deep. He served First Parish as student minister 2017 – 2019 and has served the congregation’s summer Building Bridges program on Star Island, NH nearly every year since, both as Minister of the Week and as Island Magician, offering magic shows and magic workshops.
For Rob, returning to First Parish to serve as minister is not just an honor but a kind of homecoming.Rob is a graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry and also attended Andover Newton Theological School. He has served as a chaplain at Boston Medical Center and was ordained into the Unitarian Universalist ministry in May 2021. He lives in Townshend, Vermont (yes, it’s a long commute) with his wife, Janice, a certified dog trainer. They share their home with their rescue pups, Daisy and Petey.
