First Parish Church in Taunton has rooms available at reasonable rates for large or small groups; ceremonial, social and professional events. Please fill out both the Event Policies and Rental Form, below, or contact our Administrator to ask about using one of our spaces for your special event
Elizabeth Hall
Elizabeth Hall, formerly known as the Supper Room, is on the lower level of the main building. This spacious room is appropriate for large or small meetings.

The Loft
The Loft is one of the church’s most popular meeting spaces, located above the chapel. The Loft includes a conference table and chairs, seating eight; a circle of chairs, perfect for meditation or group discussion for up to twelve; and a living room-style sofa and chairs, for casual groups of up to eight. Any of these spaces may be combined or added to by moving chairs throughout the space. Maximum capacity is approximately 30.

Sanctuary
Our sanctuary comfortably seats up to 300 people and is appropriate for large, formal weddings and other ceremonies.

Availability:
Church spaces are typically available for regular (weekly or monthly) meetings of up to 30 people on weeknights, when several church and/or private groups may share the building. Wedding rehearsals generally take place on Friday evenings, and weddings on Saturdays. Child dedications for members typically take place during Sunday morning services; private child dedications or baptisms may be held at any hour after 12:00 PM on Sundays. Private parties may be held on Friday, Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening. Business meetings or conferences may be held on any weekday between 8:30 and 5:00.
Accessibility:
Unfortunately, our nineteenth century church is only imperfectly accessible by twenty-first century standards. We offer a wheelchair ramp upon request, to go into the side door that accesses the main floor, including the chapel, rest rooms and Hodgdon Room. There is a chair lift that accesses the main sanctuary, and we offer a wheelchair for the use of anyone who needs it. Rooms that are only accessible by stairs include the Loft, Elizabeth Hall, administrative offices and religious education classrooms.
