CHILDCARE
The Nursery

Our Nursery is for our very youngest children ages birth to 2 years old.
Purpose - The purpose of the Nursery is to provide excellent child care for the families of First Parish.
Goal - The goal is for infants and babies to get their first experiences with being in community through our nursery. We want our nursery to be one of the first places they experience love and kindness outside their families.
Rite of Passage – Moving up to the playroom when they are ready.

The Playroom

Our Playroom for our toddlers and kids not quite ready for the structure of Sunday School.
Purpose - The purpose of the Playroom is to provide excellent child care as well as begin to build a foundation and introduction to our faith.
Goal - The goal is for toddlers, preschoolers and children not quite ready for Sunday School to become familiar with some of the language and rituals connected to our faith.
Rite of Passage: - When children are ready to move on to Sunday School, it also means they are moving on to joining in the first 15 minutes of worship. Their first time in worship should be exciting and something they look forward to. This can be done by getting to lead the whole congregation in the chalice lighting on their first day (if they choose to).
