We Are Water

Our first Sunday of the church year will be an all-ages services that will include a Water Gathering, a Unitarian Universalist tradition. Everyone is invited to bring water in a small
container. It can be church tap water, water from the creek behind your house, water from a special trip, water from the hose that waters your garden, water from a grandparent’s house—whatever holds meaning for you.

During the Gathering, each person may share the story behind their water if they wish. We’ll gather all the water into one big bowl, from which everyone may then take some water to bring home. It’s a symbolic reminder that we all have unique sources that nourish our spirit and that we carry one another in our hearts.

Please bring your water in a bottle, a jar or other small container. So that everyone may participate, there will also be water on hand to pour, or you can pour “virtual” water if you wish.
